Meet your Local Au Pair Childcare Consultant
I’m Julie Moeller, a Local Childcare Consultant in Washington, DC and a former host mom.
For over a decade, I’ve supported families and au pairs, and I understand the realities of busy work schedules, after-school activities, and school-holiday childcare gaps. My role is to help families explore whether an au pair is the right fit — with honest guidance and local insight.
When my children were young, my family hosted au pairs from the Czech Republic and Ecuador. These women remain a part of our family today. My children have spent summers in Ecuador living with our au pair and her extended family — and came home speaking Spanish. While studying abroad in Rome, my daughter has already planned her spring break in Prague to stay with our Czech au pair.
Decades after hosting, our au pairs continue to make our lives richer — and that lasting cultural exchange is why I believe so deeply in this program.
Wondering if an au pair could work for your family? I’m happy to talk it through.
